    I am a clinical psychologist who works w teens. I am not trained in DBT but am familiar w the main ideas. I thought this book was very well done: very readable, broken into short chapters and sections, addresses common issues related to emotion regulation and uses language and examples teens can relate to. I could see sharing it w a teen patient or using it in groups for teens.

    This book enabled me to overcome my anxiety in dealing with panic attacks. I speak before large crowds and minutes before, I nearly retch from anxiety. Dr. Lewis taught me how to take control of my panicked mind by managing anxious thoughts. Now, my retching spells have been extinguished altogether, simply by practicing his principles. I feel confident and can now enjoy the experience of public speaking. If you have social anxiety, this book is for you. If you have become exhausted in trying to fight panic attacks, this book is for you. This book is so well-written, I read it in one weekend. Thank you, Dr. Lewis, for saving my career!
