Thank you Dr. West, your work is a great reminder to “pull your head out of the sand and listen to your heart”

The Stress Club is a must read for women with toddlers, teenagers, and even grandchildren? The Stress Club challenged me to “listen” to myself. What words or thoughts am I projecting on others that come right back at me? I thought it was a badge of honor to say “I am peddling as fast as I can.” or “I am a master multitasker”. It is sad to think I would plan to fold the clothes during a work conference call so I could multitask. The Stress Club reminds me to listen to “the desires of my heart” and to challenge my thinking and judgments. My dear friend gave me a plaque “She designed a life she love”. The Stress Club will open the door for many women to crossover from peddling as fast as they can getting nowhere to designing a life with joy… a life they love.

PS: God, created sleep to restore our minds and bodies, 7 to 9 hours is key to designing a life you love.

Great read! This book points out a societal norm for women that is so common place most of us don’t even realize we’re participating…but once aware of it, you will notice it everywhere. Thank you for pointing out that it is absolutely okay to take care of yourself, to rest, to not be the busiest and most overwhelmed, and to stop competing with other women in order to relate to them. Good practical advice on how to leave this “stress club”!

This book is excellent! It’s so well written and beyond accurate for any woman, really. I highly recommend it to any woman that’s feeling stressed, or has just felt overwhelmed in their life at any point.
